Spring Fling Yard Sale and Carnival

North River Church will hold it's fourth annual Spring Fling Family Carnival and Yard Sale

Saturday April 16, 2011 from 9AM-2PM

Located at 1725 Spectrum Drive in Lawrenceville, GA, there will be inflatable games and activites. Items for sale include: childrens clothes, toys, furniture, household items, tools, books, appliances accessories and more!

All proceeds will benefit 4:4 No More! - Water for the Poor and will go to dig water wells in Nicaragua and Haiti.

 

Suwanee Day 2010 a Huge Success!

It was a beautiful sunny day to sell water when we set up our booth at Suwanee Day September 18, 2010.  We had about 1200 bottles of water to sell and also made balloon hats and animals for the children.  We sold out of water by 2:30pm and made over $1,600 to drill wells in Haiti and Nicaragua.  Next year we will have to bring more water!

Spring Fling Carnival and Yard Sale

Summer Concerts and Fall Festivals

So far our 2009 summer concert season has been the best yet!  For those of you new to this site, we sell water at the Concerts on the Lawrenceville Square (Lawrenceville, GA) that occur the fourth Friday evenings through September.  We have had record water sales/donations as we become more recognized at the event.

We will have a booth at Suwanee Days again this year, held at Suwanee Town Center Park, Suwanee, GA.  This will be our third year selling water and making balloon animals for the children.  The date is September 19, 2009 - come on out and see us!

The following weekend is the Amigos for Christ music festival, also at Suwanee Town Center Park.  We have been invited to have a booth at their event and will need refreshed volunteers for that weekend (09/26/09).  Let us know if you can help!

Spring Fling - Carnival and Yard Sale

Come one come all to our second annual Spring Fling - Carnival and Yard Sale, Saturday April 18, 2009 from 9am-2pm.  Food, fun and bargains... and best of all, the proceeds go to benefit the poor.  If you have questions or would like to volunteer to work at this event send us an email through the "contact us" link. 

The event will be held at North River Church, 1725 Spectrum Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.  Spectrum Drive is at Highway 120 just East of Sugarloaf Parkway - look for the huge inflatables and the giant yard sale!

The Latest News

 "4:4 No More!", North River's ministry to provide fresh water in the Caribbean and Latin America, is in position to assist with two really great projects.

First, we are coming along side of our partners in Haiti, Food for the Poor, and making funds available to dig a well in that poverty and disease ravaged country. Since our inception in August, 2007 we have dug 2 wells in Haiti. This week we will provide all the funds to dig a third well.

Second, we have been working to forge a partnership with Amigos for Christ, a Buford-based ministry that does several things in the nation of Nicaragua, the poorest country in Latin America. Just this week we learned that we will provide the initial funds ($2500 of $5000) to provide fresh water to a maternity hospital that currently has no access to potable water. We will be working to raise the remaining $2500 as well.

As you know, all of the funds that "4:4 No More!" provides comes through the various projects undertaken through the year: bottled water sales at festivals and concerts, our Spring yard sale, our Fall festival.

Let's give God praise for the great work of "4:4 No More!" and for the ways in which God is sustaining this ministry!  We appreciate any help you can provide.

Summer Concerts!

Our 2008 Summer Concert water sales have begun to raise money for the needy.  The July headliner was Shawn Mullins.  Here is a picture of him with two of our volunteers.  Every dollar is important to this ministry!

Spring Fling!

We had a great time Saturday April 26, 2008 at our Spring Fling - Carnival and Yard Sale.  We raised over $1,600 for 4:4 No More! - Water for the Poor.

We are raising money for our third well in Haiti.  Here is a picture of the well in Galman duPlaa which is in the Cap Haitian area.

"4:4 No More!" at Lawrenceville, GA Courthouse Concert

"4:4 No More!"  will be spreading the word and selling bottled water at the concert on the Courthouse Square in Lawrenceville, Georgia Friday night (9/28).   Drop by and say "hey"...and buy a bottle of water.  You know you're thirsty!

"4:4 No More!" at Suwanee Day Celebration

"4:4 No More!" had a great day meeting folks and raising funds for our well digging project.   Some of the kids (and a couple of adults) did their artistic thing with face-painting which gave us a chance to talk to parents about the needs of children in Haiti for fresh water.   We educated over a thousand folks about the need and collected some more money- every penny of which will go to digging a well!

Sunday morning Jim Street, pastor of North River Church, surprised the "4:4 No More!" team with a "seed" check of $1000.  The team has until December 16th to increase that money and pay back the $1000!  So youth and adults will be putting their heads together to find the best ways to double, triple, quadruple their seed money! 

We recently received sme pictures from "Food for the Poor" of children in Haiti.    Here are a couple of them.   Pray for us as we work to educate and raise funds for this noble cause.

(8/24)  Bluegrass music will be ringing out as we continue to raise funds for this vital ministry.   The city anticipates that about 1500 folks will be on hand for the concert!

Return to the Farmer's Market

Stephen Findlay, Jamie Lee and Mary Yost sold bottled water at the Lawrenceville Farmers Market last Saturday (8/18)  Although there were fewer produce vendors and fewer visitors, they still managed to have a good day.  Thanks to Jamie, Stephen and Mary for not only helping to raise funds for this great project but also for helping to get North River's name and reputation out there!

Ashley Cleveland Concert To Benefit 4:4

Ashley Cleveland will perform a solo concert at North River Community Church in Lawrenceville, Ga on October 13th at 8 p.m.  Ashley is a 2-time Grammy Award winner and multiple Dove Award Winner.   Her latest CD, "Before the Daylight's Shot," was released in 2006 and selected as one of Christianity Today's Albums of the Year. 

Tickets are free but seating is limited.  A love offering will be taken to benefit "4:4 No More!"

Lawrenceville Farmers Market

"4:4 No More" began selling bottled water at the Lawrenceville (Georgia)  Farmers Market on Saturday (8/11).   We had a great time talking to people about the ministry as well as North River Community Church.   A number of people made donations even without taking a bottle of water.
